Community Carer
Job Description
You will provide personal care and support to individuals who need assistance with daily living activities. This includes supporting elderly residents, those with disabilities, or individuals recovering from illness, helping them maintain independence and dignity in their own homes or community settings.
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Support with mobility, helping clients move around safely and assisting with transfers (e.g., from bed to chair).
- Help individuals manage their medication, ensuring they take the correct doses at the right times.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, enhancing the individual’s mental well-being.
- Monitor and report on the condition of individuals, updating care plans and reporting any changes to the senior care staff.
- Work with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure the best care and support is provided.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in personal care or healthcare roles is preferred.
- Caring, compassionate, and patient with a strong desire to help others.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly with vulnerable individuals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of assisting individuals with mobility and personal care tasks.
