Job Description

Focus on enhancing the physical mobility and functional independence of elderly residents. You will assess residents’ physical conditions, design personalised rehabilitation programs, and assist with pain management, helping them to maintain or improve their quality of life.

  • Assess residents' physical abilities and limitations, creating individualised therapy programs tailored to their needs.
  • Design and implement exercise and mobility programs to improve residents’ strength, balance, and flexibility.
  • Work with residents on rehabilitation following injuries, surgeries, or illnesses.
  • Advise on the use of mobility aids, assistive devices, and modifications to improve daily living.
  • Educate residents, families, and care staff on techniques to prevent falls and improve physical health.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care.

Person Specification

  • Degree in Physiotherapy or relevant licensing or certification.
  • Previous experience working with elderly or physically impaired individuals is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex exercises and health advice clearly.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused with the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team and manage a varied caseload.
